My name is Marichu and I graduated from The Boland School in 2005.
I've been a senior TEFL teacher at the Philippine Center for Foreign Language Learners since November, 2005. At present, I'm still connected with the school. I teach Koreans, Japanese and Taiwanese students, and professionals. I teach conversation classes, basic and advanced grammar, TOEIC review, listening and American Accent. I also teach English online in the evening,
It's been almost 4 years since I graduated from Boland. I though at first that being a non native speaker is a disadvantage but I was wrong. Being a non native speaker is an advantage because I'm familiar with the areas in English that non native speakers of English are confused with. Being so, I'm able to discover what in English I should teach a student depending on his English level skills. I've come a long way, from Boland to where I am now. However, one thing is sure indeed...that Boland helped me in realizing my goal of becoming the best English teacher I could be to foreign language learners.
At the school where I teach, I'm the most popular and considered as the best teacher. At the online school where I teach, I'm also considered as the best among the online teachers.
My students love me and appreciate the way I teach them.
Thanks to Boland!!
Regards to all the staff of Boland,
Marichu

Thanks to all at Boland for a very intensive and rewarding experience. The pre-course preparation work was particularly helpful and I appreciate the trainers' hard work, the jobs support and jobs fairs too. Good luck to everyone.

The office staff is great and the teachers far surpass any expectations I had prior to the start of the course. The jobs fair was useful and that and the Boland jobs site have provided lots of excellent leads and contacts.

A good course, the trainers were great educator’s and people and always ready to help me answer any questions I had. The small classes really worked for me, I sometimes needed the extra attentionThe jobs site was helpful, but my best tips and leads came from the trainers themselves and the jobs units. I will definitely recommend this course to others.

The trainers were knowledgeable and helpful. I would have liked more phonetics materials to practice with on my own, but I do appreciate the wealth of class planning and reference materials that I have gained on the course. Thanks for everything!

This is a solid course with thorough pre-course preparation and lots of real classroom experience. The trainers' feedback on my teaching was constructive and helpful throughout and I really learned a lot. Thanks everyone!
