Organisation was good and the teacher trainers certainly are good English
teachers!

The program and instructors were outstanding. Alexander was witty and shared
a profound command of the English language, as well as cultural facts. Chris
kept things lively and fun with his humor, gave clear instructions, explained
subtle points of grammar, and consistently modelled the student-centered
classroom. Jindra made the Czech language and culture interesting and fun.

This course is well-prepared and the staff is helpful. The trainers make
learning fun, too. The accommodations were very good - one of the better places
I have stayed in in China.

I think this course was extremely good. I learned more in four weeks than
I have in any other institution! Although the material was challenging,
and pretty intense, I enjoyed the time I spent here, and thought the instructors
were very knowledgeable and helpful. The course books and materials were
accurate and well-organized. I would highly recommend the school and program.

The course is very demanding, but the sense of achievement at the end is
enormous, and makes it all worthwhile. Thank you to Chris and Alexander -
good teachers, good role models. Hope to see you in the TEFL world!

Very professional staff and program. I went straight from the course into my
new job in Guangzhou. Outstanding on the job placement service! Thank you
trainers and staff. Any way we can get more of the materials on CD Rom for
continued home learning?

The apartment was great, the course was great. Job placement got me set up
before the course had even ended. Mr. Pan is the bomb! Thanks for everything!

The trainers were excellent, and I enjoyed learning from the differences
in their teaching styles. I appreciated the additional grammar Q. and A.
sessions as per our request midway through the course, too, and the general
flexibility of the trainers and staff to gear the curriculum to meet our
specific needs.
Great instruction!

Right now, I am in Canada visiting my family. I will return to Shanghai on
Sunday, and then I will begin my new job! It is a fantastic opportunity for
me. I am really excited because I will be able to teach in a technical business
setting - what I have been striving to find all along! :) Thanks a lot! Taking
your course has really allowed me to make the transition from kindergarten
teaching to a job I will most likely find incredibly fulfilling.

I'm getting settled in. It took me 1 & a half wks to get the job squared
away, and now I am about to start studying Mandarin. Let me know if anyone
from Boland wants to come this way, I have plenty of suggestions for anyone
who is. Thanks again for everything.

The friendly atmosphere allows the student to free himself/herself
of any inhibitions they might be encountering. I felt completely
comfortable asking the instructors questions no matter how dumb they
might have been. Thanks for everything.

The course was great! I had a lot of fun, and I feel like I learned
a lot. The teachers and the staff were fantastic! I‘d like to have
a refresher course once a year for former trainees, too.... Thanks
a lot.

Yeah, good course. I couldn't have gone straight into teaching without it.
(and I had a job secured before I came here). I have now been teaching in
Mongolia since Monday and I love it! The class sizes are a bit of a problem
(50 on average) but I'll adjust.
Thanks for everything!

This course gave me a very good grammatical and methodological basis for teaching
English. I received useful feedback from staff all along, and I will feel
much more comfortable walking into a classroom. Also, great advice given
on the job search and employment contracts!

I found the course and materials to be quite useful. The staff's knowledge
of the materials was excellent; any question I had was answered in a timely
way. The job support and placement gave me a great head start in wading through
contracts, visa issues and choosing the best employer. Thank you!

I really enjoyed the program. I also liked the Czech lessons. It would
have been nice to have more time to do more lessons of this sort,
in addition to the TEFL.

It said 'intensive course' and that's why I signed up, but I didn't
actually realize what EFL teaching entailed until I got there! I am
really happy that it was as intensive as it was because it pushed
me to learn, and made me realize how much I knew without knowing I
knew it! It also showed me how little I knew and how much I still
needed to learn and understand. The trainers, Alexander, Katie and
Chris are great, and helped me (us) learn and survive the course.

While doing the Boland internship in Jazykovy Gymnazium in Skutec, I realized how useful the course had been. It definitely provided me with a firm foundation upon which it will be a lot easier to build a teaching career. The course was tough, very intensive, but I enjoyed it anyhow. The staff was helpful and encouraged and assisted me throughout the course.

I studied hard during the program and really learned a lot for such a short period of time. I'm glad I took the course. Special thanks to all the trainers and staff members for all their help!

Overall, I am very happy with the course. I think I've learned more about
English grammar and teaching than in the last 15 years! The trainers were
wonderful and competent all the way through, which was the biggest help.
I can only say thank you for being patient, and wish I could continue on
with my studies.

I am very happy with the professionalism and expertise of the trainers. The
fact that I have learned so much over the past four weeks is down to their
abilities as teachers..

I thought it was good to have grammar at the start of the day when
I could still think! The course materials were useful. I found it
easy to talk to trainers and staff for help and advice. AT (Available
Trainer Time) is a good idea. Sometimes the hours are too intensive,
but I feel it was good training for a wide range of teaching situations.
Thank you.

I was happy with all elements of this course. I would have liked more practice
with correction cards and vocabulary cards. All the assignments were of use,
although with these and lesson planning, I sometimes felt pushed for time.
This did allow me to push beyond my limits and achieve a higher level.
|
Renata H. - Beijing, China January 2004 graduate |

The course and the trainers were of a very high quality. The correction cards
were extremely useful in helping revise for the exams. I wish we had even
more materials to practice with and test each other outside class.
