Everything was very good! The course really covered a lot
of useful teaching topics. I think I’ve learnt a lot in this program,
especially regarding lesson planning skills, and in-class activities. It was
so effective, and very practical. Thank you!

Regarding the internship:
At first, I was a little reluctant about teaching
pre-teens and teens. They really did surprise me though. They were very
understanding and seemed to enjoy interacting with a native English speaker
(though they were a bit shy at times!). The teaching internship after the
course made me feel more confident about my teaching abilities and solidified
my desire to teach. I would recommend the internship to anyone wanting to
test their teaching abilities after the TEFL course.

My experience at Boland School was a very positive one and I have
recommended it to my friends who are thinking of a TEFL school. The course
was intensive and thorough, giving me the needed knowledge and
confidence to go out and teach English. I have been very impressed by the
personal attention both in the course itself and afterwards in the job search
process. The internship program was what made me choose the Boland
School in the first place because I didn't see any other schools that had
it and it proved to be one of the highlights of the program. This
internship was thoroughly enjoyable and gave me additional experience for my
resume as well as added confidence.

I'm settling in at the State Language School in Zlin. I've been teaching
for the past week and a half and I'm very happy with how well the Boland
School's TEFL course prepared me for the job. It was a simple transition to
go from my practice teachings in the course directly into the classroom.

My overall impressions of the course were very favourable once I overcame
the initial shock of the first week! There is a lot of material to get
through in a relatively short space of time so I understand the need to
cram a lot into each day. The course content has been well thought out
and the staff work hard. I think it is remarkable that in just 4 weeks
the course gave me enough knowledge and confidence to feel that I can
start a teaching job straight away. Also, I think the ping pong table should
get a mention. We were all hooked! It was a great way of unwinding from
the mental stress of the course. Its therapeutic value should not be
underestimated.

This course is remarkable for its depth, as well as for the amount of
material covered in such a relatively short time. I certainly learned a
great deal! The staff balance each other out well. I found all of the
instructors to be very helpful teachers, as well as fun and interesting
people.

The practice teaching before the actual teaching with real students was
very useful. The grammar classes were very thorough, and I learned more
than my brain thought possible! Czech class is great! Keep the first lesson
mandatory; it is so important to understanding what it's like to be a total
beginner learning a foreign language....

I enjoyed my time at Boland. I felt the trainers were professional and honest.
The teaching evaluation forms were a great help. I did feel that the Czech
class went a bit slow, but it was tailored to complete beginners, so I
understand. The peer presentations early on really helped and aided me in
future lesson plans.
This past summer, I worked in Austria teaching English to children at
one-week language camps. Now I am in Minsk, Belarus, teaching with
International House. I just finished my first week, and things are going
well. I am teaching First Certificate and Proficiency courses, as well as
some intermediate and advanced level groups. Things here are great and I am
now very thankful for all of the grammar review we did during the TEFL
course!

The course was excellent. The material covered gives me a great amount of
confidence to go teach. Although I still feel I have a lot more to learn,
the school did a great job presenting the wide range of material that must
be covered!
